The Easter holidays are almost upon us and it’s time to find some fun activities to keep the little ones entertained without breaking the bank!
The good news is lots of businesses are hosting free (or low cost) activities this Easter and I’ve rounded up the best ones for you.

Hobbycraft – Craft Workshops
Hobbycraft do some fab cheap workshops and have loads of Easter themed craft sessions tailored for kids. With tickets from £6.40, all materials included, this is a budget friendly, fun activity to do with your kid/s this easter.
I recenlty took my kids to a clay making session and we loved it! The class size was super small so it was nice and calm and fun way to spend a few hours.
Pets At Home – PET PALS
Pets At Home are running free workshops every single day over the Easter holidays where your little ones can meet and greet all kinds of animals.
Ideal for kids aged 4 to 10, your little one will get time to play with the animals plus learn all about how to care for them from a pet expert. And your kid will leave with a sticker and personalised certificate.
Each workshop lasts up to 45 minutes and you simply need to reserve a place online. Limited to one adult per child.
SMYTHS – Princess Pop Up
Selected Smyths stores are running themed pop ups during the Easter holidays. These are free to attend but ticketed so you need to prebook. This princess-inspired pop up involves dressing up and face painting.
On Easter weekend, Symths are also hosting a letter hunt at their superstores to win prizes. The grand prize is a 10ft trampoline!
IKEA – Easter Fun
IKEA are running a range of free events during the holidays from Easter crafts to egg races to brunches. Check out what’s going on at your local store here.
DOBBIES – Little Seedlings
Every month, Dobbies Garden Centres run free workshops for little ones that are based around gardening. The one in April is an Easter special in collaboration with Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Not only will your little one learn all about spring animals and flowers, this workshop also includes a fun Easter hunt and a hands-on planting activity plus you’ll get to take home some seeds to plant.
Apple – In-Store Kids Activities
Whilst these aren’t Easter specific, Apple run great workshops for kids that are completely free. These are specifically designed to get kids to do fun tech based activities and learn skills like beginner coding.

National Trust – Easter Egg Hunts
A lot of National Trust properties hold Easter hunts and trails that you can participate in for as little £3.50. Some locations have games and activities plus you’ll get some chocolate to take home!

Kids Eat Free Schemes
Alongside our budget friendly Easter holiday plans, I’ve also rounded up some of the best Kids Eat Free schemes available right now.
Eating out as a family can get expensive quick so these deals are perfect for still indulging whilst not breaking the budget.
Pizza Hut
Kids eat free all day every day at Pizza Huts across the UK. Enter code KEF to redeem the offer. Before 3pm, you get one free Kids Buffet per £9.99 spent on food. After 3pm, the code gets you a free Kids Meal Deal.
This deal is only available for dining in customers.
Bella Italia
Kids eat free Sunday to Thursday at Bella Italia with the purchase of an adult main. Your little ones can enjoy three courses AND a drink. With adult mains from £13.29 this is a great deal.
This offer is currently active all year round and would make a perfect (& affordable) Easter holiday meal out.
Offer is not available at some stores including ones at Center Parc sites so make sure to read the T&Cs.
Bills
From the 30th March to the 10th April, up to two kids can eat for free when one adult orders any main dish. This offer is valid for breakfast, lunch or dinner but not available on the weekends.
This offer is available for kids under 10 and they must order off the kids menu.
It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, including blue light discount. Drinks not included.
Las Iguanas
Your little ones can eat free all year round when you have the Las Iguanas app however from the 29th March to 9th April no app is needed for kids to eat free.
With the purchase of an adult main meal, your kid can get a main, dessert and drink completely free!
Not available in conjunction with any other offers including Tesco Clubcard vouchers. It is also not valid at Center Parcs sites.
Frankie & Benny’s
Kids eat free at Frankie & Benny’s restaurants across the UK from the 30th March to 17th April. For every adult main purchased, one kid gets a main, two sides, a drink and a dessert on them. What a great deal!
Free meals apply for kids aged 11 and under and is not valid in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or vouchers.
