I love granola but I’m not a massive fan of the huge supermarket price tag! So I learnt how to make my own. And it turned out to be super easy to make!

It’s actually super easy to make, takes hardly any time and is fully customisable. Plus this granola isn’t full of sugar like shop bought, and works out much cheaper too!
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups oats
- 1/3 cup of peanut butter
- 4 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (heated)
- cinnamon and cashews (for taste and crunch)
- chia seeds (optional)
Method:
- Preheat your oven to around 180 degrees
- Melt your peanut butter honey and coconut oil in a pan until nice and runny
- Mix with your oats, cinnamon and cashews (and chia seeds if you choose!) and mix well
- Pour mixture into a lined baking tray and push down so they’re all stuck together well! (This makes nice big clumps once it’s baked)
- Bake for around 15-20 / until golden brown on the middle rack!
- Once cooked, leave it to cool and then break with your fingers into clumps
This will cost less than £2 per batch! Which is much cheaper than store bought granola and much tastier too. Plus you can fully customise it by adding in extra ingredients that you love or have on hand.
I love to serve it with some yoghurt and fruit for a great breakfast.
