These pancakes are fool proof, they work every time, they’re fluffy, a hit with the kids, and they can be made without the chia seeds!

It’s such an easy recipe that I know it by heart, no scales needed, with ingredients that are always in the house!
They came around as my eldest daughter went off bananas so I wanted to find a way to get them into her. I started making these and she loved them, eventually I realised I could add more goodness (chia seeds and flaxseeds) to make the ultimate healthy pancakes!
A great way to get some goodness into the kids without them really knowing!
What you’ll need:
- 2 bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup plain flour (a measuring cup)
- 1 cup milk (any milk)
- 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1-2 tbsp flaxseeds
This recipe makes around 18 pancakes depending on your sizings!
Your looking at around £1.16 per batch! Roughly around 7p per pancake! So a super budget friendly recipe and a great way to use up them ripe bananas and make a delicious breakfast.
Method:
- Mash bananas and mix together well with the eggs
- Stir in the flour
- Add in the milk and whisk
- Add in chia and flaxseeds
- Pre heat your pan with oil and pour the mix into small-ish sized circle pancakes
- Keep repeating and flipping until all your mixture is gone
- Serve hot (or cold) with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
Ta da! Super easy budget friendly yummy pancakes that hopefully you’ll love as much as my family do!
